Academic counsellor

UK
Professional Background:

As an Academic Counselor with a diverse background and a commitment to fostering student success, I bring extensive experience to my role. With a foundation in literature and foreign languages from secondary education, further enriched by intensive English language courses at EF Cape Town and EF Bristol, I have honed my communication skills and developed a deep appreciation for cross-cultural dynamics.

Specialisation/ Area of expertise:

I assist students with pursuing UK education, offering guidance on programs, applications, visas, accommodations, and travel planning, supported by British Council training. My career journey includes roles in banking sales, customer support, and hotel reservations, where I have cultivated a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and exceeding expectations. This diverse experience enhances my ability to support students effectively.

Personal achievements:

In 2018, I earned a diploma in Basic Journalism and Mass Communication from ALMAS Training Centre. During this training, I participated in a valuable 7-day practical experience at Dzair News Channel (Algerian News Channel). This opportunity allowed me to work closely with English-speaking journalists and anchors.

Thanks to the refined English accent I developed during my studies in the UK, one of the journalists—who was also one of our trainers at ALMAS—invited me to assist with dubbing a video. My voice was featured live on air, highlighting my proficiency and the practical skills I gained through my training. This achievement underscores my communication skills and ability to excel in diverse environments.
